The Learning Page

A student website created by teacher collaboration-this website is a space for teachers to provide technology integrated lessons for students and share these lessons with colleagues

Purpose of The Learning Page:

®   To promote technology integration into current curricula

®   To give students guided direction for Internet searches on specific topics

®   To share teacher-made technology integrated lessons with other grade- level teachers

®   To promote specific topics, such as Terra Nova websites and Internet resources in an organized manner for student use

Technology integrated lessons promote:

®   Higher-order thinking by students

®   Problem-solving skills

®   Real-world activities

®   Increased interest and desire in learning

Future of The Learning Page:

®   Teachers will continue to post technology integrated lessons to The Learning Page and increase the number of shared lessons

®   Teachers increase technology literacy in themselves and students by creating these technology rich lessons for student use in the classroom

®   Community evidence of student learning with technology within Cedar Grove Elementary and possibly other local school within the county

®   Intel Participant teachers at Cedar Grove posted their technology-rich Units on The Learning Page to share with other teachers

®  Expand Collaborate and Create In-services to other schools within the county and build a collaborative body of technology integrated lessons based upon the State Curriculum and Blueprint for Learning to post on The Learning Page
